Benjamin Doran While I feel like I want to listen to some of these pieces stretched out over an hour or so, I am grateful and extremely satisfied by what William Ryan Fritch can accomplish in short sweet searing bits of time. Very present sounding. If I can drop a name: very nordic sounding to me like Kaada's "O'Horten" SDTK and the piercing distances evoked: like Cul de Sac's "Death of the Sun". I am struck by the terrific nuances of sound, of whatever is struck, plucked, or extended. Favorite track: Palpable.

Tim Shiel A series of quite beautiful piano-led pieces.

Nils Frahm recently declared March 29th, "Piano Day" and in a strange coincidence, that exact day also happens to be William Ryan's birthday. Feeling inspired by this, Fritch compiled five very special piano led pieces. These pieces are a nice precursor to his upcoming album 'Music For Film Vol. I'

Order 'Music for Film Vol. I' here:
